We moved to Kelowna because you can bike all year round and you must ride up as it's a valley bottom. The bike paths are extensive and safe. Back country rides are like riding in the Italy vinyards.
Take care and safe riding this year. Kelowna Cycle has started thier group rides every Sat at 9, check them out.

I just returned from a trip to Tucson. Almost every road has a bike lane. Meanwhile in Toronto, we bicker over adding a couple of kilometers of bike lanes.

I travel a lot for work to various cities in North America, and what's becoming apparent to me is how Toronto has essentially stood still for the last 30+ years. Many other cities are passing it by, badly, in many different areas - promotion of cycling being just one thing.
