Ride with Team Diabetes and make a difference in the lives of the 2.4 million Canadians living with diabetes! Although this isn't a women specific program, it's a great way to pedal with purpose and join women from across Canada in the quest to find a cure for diabetes! At the 2009 Test of Metal we had 64 team members but only 6 of us were women and I want to increase that number for 2010. In addition to the Test of Metal and BC Bike Race, we're also participating in a few, non-race road events. One is a great, multi-distance option ride in Redmond, Washington through scenic farmland and the other is a brand new ride being organized called the Sea to Sky Ride from Vancouver to Whistler, an event not to be missed! In Ontario we'll be participating in the 24 Hours of Summer Solstice and a road ride in New York State similar to the Washington ride. All funds raised support the Canadian Diabetes Association.
